Delaware residents and visitors to the state are taking notice of several prospering areas. Kent County in central Delaware is one such area. The beauty of the landscape of Kent County is a draw for visitors and residents alike. The real estate market is hot, and property has a short time on the market. The median price for a home was $186,600 in September of 2004, up 8.6 percent from September, 2003 when the median price was $171,800. Currently the area is showing tremendous growth, with more buyers than actual property for sale.

Sussex County is also a great county to explore when seeking Delaware Real Estate. The small beach towns are summer vacationer havens. A short distance inland from the beach towns, however, areas that are growing rapidly. New construction and building permits being purchased at a rapid rate, expanding the inventory of homes in the area.
