Despite Minnesota's cold winters and hot summers, it is a very desirable state to live in. Minnesota offers a variance in landscape, from big city living to cattle ranches, to lake areas.

Minneapolis, Minnesota, and surrounding suburbs report that the sale of homes has slowed slightly, but the market remains strong. There has been a slight drop in the appreciation of homes in these areas, but nothing too significant. The city of Minneapolis always a happening place to be, rich with culture and entertainment. Andover and Coon Rapids are smaller communities outside the Minneapolis metro area that offer quiet, safe havens for escaping the city life, and yet provide close proximity to the city life and all of it's amenities.

St. Paul, the twin city of Minneapolis, is reporting substantial gains in it's housing market. St. Paul is a big city with small town charm, with beautiful natural scenery along the Mississippi River. It is located just minutes from the international airport and offers great shopping and entertainment options. St. Paul has a very diverse population with many cultural offerings.

The Minnesota Lakes area is reporting reasonably priced homes in median price ranges are selling rapidly. Pelican Lake, Crosslake, and Lake Ossawinnamakee are a few towns in the Minnesota Lakes region with beautiful scenery and many new construction and existing homes priced to sell at reasonable prices.
